What we collect
- Email address if you subscribe to the newsletter. We use it to send you reviews, deals, and occasional updates.
- Anonymous analytics (page views, referring sites, country) via standard tools.
- Affiliate click events — we know which retailer you clicked, but not your identity.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your email address.
- We don't run third-party retargeting pixels.
- We don't know who you are unless you sign up for the newsletter or email us.

Two different things are going on here and they work differently, so we'll take them separately.
Analytics cookies — your choice
We use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to see which posts people actually read, so we can write more of what's useful. These load only if you accept when the cookie banner appears. If you decline, they are never loaded — no analytics cookies are set and nothing about your visit is sent. Declining doesn't break anything.

Affiliate cookies — set by the shop, not by us
When you click through to LEGO.com, LEGO and its affiliate network, Rakuten Advertising, set their own cookie so the sale gets credited to us. We don't set it, we can't read it, and our cookie banner doesn't control it — declining analytics here has no effect on it, because it isn't ours to switch off.
It only happens when you actually click a link, never just from reading a page. If you'd rather not be tagged that way, look the set up yourself instead of using our link — the price is the same either way.
